I love a good blush so when I discovered this Pat McGrath Labs Blush in “Nude Venus”, I knew I wanted to share it. I first came across this blush when I was browsing Sephora. I noticed it had great reviews and that it was developed by one of the most celebrated makeup artists in the world—Pat McGrath! I don’t know if you have the same experience, but I find that blush is actually a hard makeup item to get right. When you do get it right though, it ties everything together. Keeping all of that in mind, I though that this blush looked very promising, so I decided to test it out.
I tested this Pat McGrath Labs blush on camera and was really pleased with the results. Even though this blush comes in a variety of beautiful colors to suit different skin shades and undertones, “Nude Venus” is my favorite of them all. It’s a perfect warm-rosy shade that feels almost universally-flattering.
Some shades of this blush come in a matte finish but this one has a slight sheen. As someone who is self-conscious about pores and skin texture, I am very picky when it comes to reflective finishes, but this one looks absolutely gorgeous. It helps to highlight the high points of the cheeks but it’s not overwhelming and doesn’t take away form the blush color itself.
Divine Powder Blush
I love the color “Nude Venus” but there are so many beautiful options to choose from.
I also love how easy it is to apply this blush. Some people are much more skilled at blush application and some are less so. I fall in the latter category, so I’m alway looking for blushes that are very easy to work with.
Another thing that I have loved about this blush, is that it lasted for the whole day! I didn’t do a particularly long wear test, but I was very impressed with how this blush performed nonetheless.
I want to take a moment to appreciate the packaging of this blush. I don’t know if you’re the same way as me but I love good packaging and I always notice it!
Overall, I would highly recommend trying this blush out. The color is beautiful, the finish is lovely, the application is easy and the lasting power is great too. I can’t think of anything more I could ask for in a blush!
